Brownsbank Bulletin
The Brownsbank Bulletin is the quarterly newsletter of the Brownsbank Fellowship, which was established in 1992 by Biggar Museums Trust to maintain Brownsbank Cottage - the last home of the poet, Hugh MacDiarmid, and his wife Valda - as a centre of literary activity. To date, the Fellowship has been held by six writers: James Robertson, Matthew Fitt, Gerry Cambridge, Aonghas Macneacail, Linda Cracknell and Tom Bryan.
The Fellowship is supported by the Scottish Arts Council and South Lanarkshire Council, and part of the Fellowship's remit is to support creative writing as a participatory artform in the communities of South Lanarkshire. The Bulletin was established to help fulfil that aim.
